Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state and the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC), yesterday felicitated with former Governor of the state, Chief Martin Elechi on his 80th birthday.
The governor, in a goodwill message he personally signed, described former governor Elechi as a sage, pathfinder of heartwarming legacies and precious jewelry in the political history of the state.
He said: “Your Excellency, my family and I celebrate you as a sage and pathfinder of heartwarming legacies and we hold in a high esteem the fond memories of our shared vision in the development of Ebonyi state. You remain a precious jewelry in the political history of our dear state.
“On this eventful celebration therefore, I convey to Your Excellency, the warm regards, best wishes and affectionate considerations of my family, the government and people of Ebonyi State.
Meanwhile, APC described Elechi as icon of good governance, in it’s own goodwill message signed by the Spokesperson of the party, Ogbuatu Simbad said, “we congratulate you the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Nwanchor Elechi on your 80th birthday anniversary today, 7th February, 2021.
“Your Excellency, sir, you are an icon of good governance and we will never forget in a hurry your developmental strides in Ebonyi State as the former governor and your administration commitment to the peace and unity of Ebonyi people at all times which earned you the household chieftaincy title,”Ochudo” .
