100 Days: Governor Nwifuru’s records in Ebonyi are applaudable- Ohanaeze Ndigbo

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has commended the newly elected Southeast Governors who took the oath of office on 29th May 2023.

In a statement signed by its Secretary General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Ohanaeze Ndigbo noted with satisfaction that the Governors have hit the ground running in their various states.

The statement singled out Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Governor of Ebonyi State, for special commendation. Ohanaeze Ndigbo described Nwifuru as an “emerging pro-democracy Governor of note” who has demonstrated a commitment to good governance, inclusiveness of stakeholders, employment opportunities for the youths, and consolidation of the lofty accomplishments of his predecessor, Senator Dave Umahi.

The statement noted that Nwifuru’s records in his first 100 days in office show that he is leading other Newly Elected Southeast Governors in delivering good governance.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, however, noted that other Newly elected Governors were engaged in endless battles of probes of their predecessors and tribunals against their Guber electoral victories which have thrown off governance in their various States.

The statement urged these Governors to emulate Nwifuru and focus on delivering good governance to their people.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo also called on the people of the Southeast to support their Governors in their efforts to develop the region.
