2023: Umahi, Ikpeazu, Ugwuanyi will make Ndigbo proud in Senate- Ohanaeze

Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide has applauded the emergence of some southeast Governors as flag bearers of their senatorial districts for the 2023 elections.

The Chidi-Ibeh led Ohanaeze stated this in a release issued by the Secretary-General of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

The group stated that the time has come for Ndigbo to reward these candidates for their excellent accomplishments in their various states, as well as strong political leaders of the zone especially when the southeast was schemed out of national politics.

Stating, ” Umahi’s emergence as the APC flag bearer of Ebonyi South senatorial district after the rerun primaries on 31st July 2022, completes the circle of achievers who are the best to represent the southeast in 10th Assembly.

“Governor Ikpeazu’s brilliance in economic policies and security initiatives makes Abia the safest state in the southeast and the economic hub Center for Ndigbo. He has an Igbo mandate to represent Abia South senatorial district in the Senate.

“Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi remains the peacemaker with enormous legislative and executive proficiency to represent Enugu North senatorial district in the Senate, the trio are achievers and remain the best hands Ndigbo needs in the Senate come 2023.

“This is the finest hour for those southeast senators who have served two or more tenures in the Senate, to voluntarily retire or be disgraced in the 2023 polls.

“Most of them have been sleeping in the senate, and most of them never judiciously use their constituency funds for the good of the people, rather than attracting projects they resorted to using their senatorial seats in insensitive and gluttonous schemes.
