Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, has warned that Anambra State will be ungovernable if the November 6 election is rigged by any political party.
Engr. Chidi-Ibeh led Ohaneze Ndigbo, gave the warning in a release signed by the Secretary-General of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and made available to journalists in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
The group accused Federal Government of being responsible in escalating violence, and insecurity in the southeast, especially in Anambra State.
The release stated: “Sadly Anambra is paying for the first time the debauchery and the wickedness of the actions of those that proscribed IPOB in 2017.”
They warned those betraying the zone to desist from such act, adding that their actions will boomerang.
“Likely APC has an edge over other political parties in the November 6th election and they are envisaging voters apathy to have their way to victory with the level of insecurity in the state.
“Even though APC is yet to be accepted in the southeast, it’s glaring they have perfected strategies for Anambra election through the exploitation of IPOB’s one week sit at home.
“We must state that any political party that rigs, engage in vote-buying or manipulate the process might not be able to be the superintendent of the affairs of Anambra state in the next four years, except a popular choice is declared the winner”.
“Our legendary Igbo icons from Anambra will be restless in their graves following the violence and level of insecurity in the state. The spirits, of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, and others will never allow purveyors of electoral violence to have their way in November 6th”.
“No Blood of any Igbo voter in Anambra is worth being spilled over the Anambra election, Ohaneze advises any voter whose environment is not conducive for voting never to risk his/ her life for anyone or party”.
