APC Congress: Umahi calls for transparency

Ebonyi state governor, David Umahi, Friday, called for transparency in the forthcoming congressed of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ebonyi State.
 Umahi insisted that the forthcoming congresses of the Party in the State should be free and fair.
He stated this at the  APC stakeholders meeting held at the Christian Ecumenical Center, Abakaliki, on Friday.
APC recently released timetable for the party’s ward, local government and state congresses.
According to the timetable, purchase of forms for ward and local government commenced on July, 2021  and will end July 7, while purchase of form for state congresses will commence July 23, and end August 27.
The governor called on the stakeholders to conduct themselves properly to ensure a successful outing.
He said: “If we observe a transparent process, then whoever comes onboard will respect the people, so you go to your ward and demonstrate your power, I want to assure us all of a transparent process, if we work together, if you don’t get this from the party, you will still benefit from the party”
He called for administrative restructuring of the nation to give the States opportunity to develop according to their peculiarities.
While assuring that his administration is committed to completing the construction of the Ebonyi International Airport latest by the first quarter of 2022 for timely commencement of flight operations.
Umahi also noted that the  Medical College of Science Uburu, would commence academic activities latest September this year.
 Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Emegha, earlier called on members of the party to always obey and respect the decision of the party knowing that in a democratic rule, the Party is supreme.
