The Youth Wing of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, has lauded what it described as uncommon transformational strides of Governor David Umahi, especially in the area of infrastructural development of Ebonyi State.
The group was conducted round the project sites by the National leader, Engr Damian Okafor. After embarking on on-the-spot assessment of some landmark projects of Governor Umahi’s administration, said they were marvelled at the monumental achievements of the Governor despite the meager resources accruable to the State.
Speaking to newsmen, the National Publicity Secretary Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Wing, Mazi Chika Art Adiele, noted that the structures already in place at the on-going airport project, such as the central tower, firebay, presidential lodge, immigration office, among others, have reached advanced stages of completion.
On the shopping mall project, Mazi Adiele, said the components of the mall which include 49 shops at the ground floor, 169 big shops at the first floor and two big malls at the basement that have the capacity of 2890sq metres, with each of them having bulk stores and offices, placed it above other malls in Nigeria.
The National publicity secretary, further disclosed that on a visit to King David University of Medical Sciences, Uburu, it was a place to behold, adding that they discovered that the university already had secured 17 approved courses from the Nigeria Universities Commission, which he said, was a rare feat in our clime.
He noted that facilities such as medical diagnostic machines, dialysis, infusion manufacturing equipments, functional electronic and hard copy libraries, research facilities, well equipped laboratories, among others, already in place in the university, has placed it above other medical universities in Africa.
Other projects sites visited by the Ohaneze Youth Wing, according to Mazi Adiele, were 12 flyover bridges out of 17 flyover bridges constructed by Governor Umahi which he described as mind blowing and thought provoking and commended very highly the efforts of the Governor in the development of the State.
